Creating a thoughtfully planned space that lets people and nature flourish

Hundipea is a test platform for designing modern and sustainable city environments. Before the construction works begin, we’re creating a digital twin of the district. The digital model is born with the help of many collaborators, including universities and tech companies. By creating a digital twin first, we can plan and see the big picture of Hundipea most accurately.

Relying on science and collaboration

Hundipea will be born with the help of urban experts, scientists, start-ups, residents of the neighbouring areas and the city.

Following circular economy principles

We favour circular economy oriented attitudes and behaviour in local production and design that guides people's daily lives.

Combining nature-based and high-tech solutions

We use nature-based and smart solutions for planning and designing architecture, public space, green areas, and infrastructure.

Drawing on the top knowledge

We make use of the experience of other countries and urban planners to learn from their success stories as well as their mistakes.

“No, it's not drawing a house; it's not planning either. It is creating the preconditions for the new quality standards to be born.”

Hundipea's digital twin and strategies are created in collaboration with Wolfscape.

Implementing solutions that restore and support biodiversity and help to create an environment that is resilient to the effects of climate change.

According to the United Nations, cities are responsible for 70% of global carbon emissions – meaning they have an essential role to play in mitigating the climate crisis. Simply by planning more intelligently, adopting more efficient construction processes, carefully selecting materials and promoting sustainable transport methods, cities can significantly reduce their CO2 emissions whilst improving the quality of life for people and other species.

In order to become resilient to the changing world, we aim to make Hundipea climate neutral.

We are looking for ways to minimise our carbon footprint with the help of relevant research and applying the experiences of other countries and communities. We develop solutions to simultaneously reduce pollution, increase the area’s biodiversity and adapt to the effects of climate change, such as increased rainfall, flooding and storms in the region.
